The Effect of 20-20-20 Rule Dissemination and Artificial Tears Administration in High School Students Diagnosed with Computer Vision Syndrome

Backgrounds: Computers and gadgets are modern tools for assisting Senior High School students’ work. However, using more than 2 hours a day may cause computer vision syndrome (CVS), which can interfere with academic activities. CVS main symptom is dry eyes. Objectives: could be prevented by applying the 20-20-20 rule artificial tears. Results: A total of 100 students from two public high schools in Kediri 50 each school were selected this community service. All diagnosed participated dissemination tear administration. The pre-test post-test scores, Tear Break Up Time Test (TBUT) Ocular Disease Surface Index (OSDI) measured within weeks. TBUT OSDI parameters measuring eye. Likewise, interviews conducted to assess adherence tea results showed knowledge level increased (p <0.0001). Most understood how administer tears correctly. both methods was approximately 50%. There an improvement <0.0001) eyes but not (p> 0.05). Conclusions: Applying used treatment.
